Brock University: English test requirements
Undergraduate entry has one standard set of scores, with higher sets for Co-op Accounting (BAcc), the CTESL Certificate and Teacher Education. Graduate entry has a standard minimum, and nine programmes set a higher IELTS score; for those, the university asks applicants to contact Graduate Studies for the equivalent on other tests.

Undergraduate
Most degrees use the standard set; Co-op Accounting, the CTESL Certificate and Teacher Education ask for more. Online versions of IELTS, TOEFL (Home Edition), Duolingo, CAEL and PTE Academic are accepted, and IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted. Applicants with qualifications from a listed English-speaking country are exempt; others may ask for an exemption after three years of full-time study taught in English. Applicants who meet everything except English may be offered the Intensive English Language Program route.

Undergraduate English proficiency requirements
Graduate
The standard minimum applies unless the programme sets a higher one. For the higher-requirement programmes the page gives IELTS only and asks applicants to email Graduate Studies for the equivalent scores on other tests. Results must be within two years of the application date; IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted alongside a full IELTS test. Exemption needs three or more years (master's) or two or more years (doctoral) of post-secondary study taught in English in a listed country; waivers are rare. The table reflects the Faculty Handbook as approved on 25 February 2026.
