Lincoln Bishop University: English test requirements

Lincoln Bishop University (formerly Bishop Grosseteste University; the old bgu.ac.uk address now redirects to lincolnbishop.ac.uk) publishes one English requirements table with columns for undergraduate, postgraduate taught and PGCE (QTS) teacher training courses. Only Home Office approved Secure English Language Tests (SELTs) are listed: IELTS, Oxford ELLT, Trinity ISE, LanguageCert, PTE Academic UKVI and PSI Skills for English. TOEFL and Duolingo are not on the page.

Checked on 2 Nov 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.

PGCE/PGDE applicants must take IELTS Academic for UKVI or Oxford ELLT (unless from a majority English-speaking country) and also meet GCSE English requirements. Research programme requirements are in the admissions policy, not on this page.
