Manchester Metropolitan University: English test requirements
Manchester Met publishes one standard set of scores for undergraduate degrees and a higher set for taught master's, plus a list of named courses (mostly health, law, architecture, teaching and social work) that ask for more and are stated as IELTS only. The offer letter gives the final requirement, and scores from different tests or sittings cannot be combined.

Applicants from Pakistan
The Pakistan page repeats the standard IELTS levels (6.0 with no section below 5.5 for undergraduate, 6.5 with no section below 5.5 for postgraduate) and names no local qualification as an alternative. The main English page adds that Oxford ELLT is accepted only as the in-person Global test for these nationals. The page says: “You should have the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at level 6.0, with no scores less than 5.5 in any section.”
Applicants from India
Standard XII English from CBSE or CISCE (ISC) at 70% or above, or from the Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu or West Bengal boards at 80% or above, is accepted instead of IELTS for undergraduate entry. The main English page lists India Standard XII (CBSE and CISCE only) at 70% for both undergraduate and taught postgraduate. The main English page adds that Oxford ELLT is accepted only as the in-person Global test for these nationals. The page says: “We will accept the following Standard XII English State Boards with a score of 70% or above as an alternative to IELTS: CBSE CISCE (ISC)”
Applicants from Nigeria
WAEC or NECO English Language at C6 or better is accepted instead of IELTS for both undergraduate and postgraduate entry. The main English page adds that Oxford ELLT is accepted only as the in-person Global test for these nationals. The page says: “We will accept the WAEC/NECO with a minimum of C6 in English Language as an alternative to IELTS.”
Applicants from Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Iran, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan
Nationals of these countries can use Oxford ELLT only in its in-person Global form; the Digital version is not accepted for them. The page says: “Please note we will only accept the in-person test, Oxford ELLT (Global), for nationals from the following countries: Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Iran, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria and Pakistan.”

Integrated Foundation courses
Minimum for the integrated foundation courses; some courses ask for more. The separate Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design needs a UKVI-approved SELT for Student visa holders (IELTS for UKVI 5.5 with no section below 5.0, Trinity ISE II from a UK centre with a pass in all four components, or PTE Academic UKVI 59 overall).
