University of Suffolk: English test requirements
Suffolk publishes separate requirements for undergraduate degrees, postgraduate taught degrees and Professional Health degrees including Social Work (IELTS 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0), plus IELTS 6.5 with 6.5 in each component for research degrees. Course pages can set different figures.
Checked on 2 Nov 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.
Applicants from Pakistan
Applicants from Pakistan must supply an approved English test result; applicants educated in Pakistan cannot use Medium of Instruction letters or the English Language Test Waiver. The page says: “All applicants from Pakistan must provide an approved English Language Test result.”
Applicants from India
Indian Standard XII English is accepted at stated percentages from named boards (CISCE, CBSE, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu), with higher marks for Professional Health.
