York St John University: English test requirements

York St John publishes one general table (IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in each part) plus separate tables for MA TESOL and MSc Speech and Language Therapy, with research degree levels in notes. Taught master's levels are set on each course page, and the university tells applicants to check there.

Checked on 2 Nov 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.
