UT Austin publishes the same minimums at undergraduate and graduate level (TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo only, no PTE), and graduate minimums may vary by major. SAT or ACT scores are required for first-year applicants.

The Graduate Admissions minimums are shown, but the page says the minimum may vary by major and by considerations such as employment as a teaching assistant; programmes also say which test they prefer. Scores must be sent by the testing agency; self-reported scores are not accepted. Applicants from listed countries or with a bachelor's degree from a US or listed-country institution are exempt.

Admissions tests
SAT / ACT · First-year applicants
Required
The page asks for at least one official SAT or ACT score sent by the testing agency. Official Classic Learning Test scores also satisfy the requirement. The SAT Essay, ACT Writing and ACT Science are not required. The freshman page is dated for summer/fall 2027 entry (decisions in January and February 2027).

GMAT / GRE · Full-time MBA (Texas McCombs)
Required
A GMAT, GMAT Focus, GRE or Executive Assessment score is required unless the testing requirement is waived, either because an expired score (5+ years old) is submitted or a merit-based waiver petition is approved. There is no preferred test and no minimum score. Dual-degree applicants do not need to request a waiver.

“Not on the list” means the test does not appear on the university page we checked. It does not mean the test is refused: the course page or the admissions office may still accept it, so ask them.
