Mount Allison University: English test requirements
Mount Allison publishes one set of English minimums for undergraduate admission. Its only graduate degree, the Master of Science, points back to the same calendar section, whose list differs slightly from the admissions web pages.
Checked on 2 Nov 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.

Proof is needed if asked. Three years of study at a Canadian secondary school, or 30 credit hours at an English-medium post-secondary institution, can also meet the requirement. Applicants who meet the academic requirements but not the English one may be offered conditional admission and can take Mount Allison's online English Pathway Program or a programme at a partner language school; completing the Mount Allison programme leads to unconditional admission with no further test. The separate English proficiency page gives only the new TOEFL scale.

The Master of Science admission rules refer to calendar section 3.7, so the figures here are from that section. Section 3.7 gives only the 0-120 TOEFL iBT score and adds the Michigan Test, which the admissions web pages do not list.

Other tests the university lists
- CAEL (CE)
- Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency
- Michigan Test (calendar only)
- Mount Allison English Pathway Program
- University preparatory programmes at partner language schools (CLLC, ECLC, ILI, Kaplan, McKenzie College, SACLI)
“Not on the list” means the test does not appear on the university page we checked. It does not mean the test is refused: the course page or the admissions office may still accept it, so ask them.
