Université de Saint-Boniface: English test requirements
Teaching is in French, so every applicant must meet a French requirement. Five programmes also require English for placements and professional registration in Manitoba, and each programme page sets its own IELTS (and in some cases TOEFL) minimums.
Checked on 2 Nov 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.

Undergraduate, diploma and certificate
Only the five programmes below require English for admission, on top of the French requirement. Each page also accepts non-test routes such as Manitoba English 40S (or the Canadian equivalent), and the nursing and social work pages exempt applicants schooled in English in listed countries. Only final results from the last two years are accepted. Figures are written with a decimal comma on the French pages (for example 7,0).

Conditions générales d'admission (exigences linguistiques)
Other tests the university lists
- Manitoba English 40S or Canadian equivalent (all five programmes)
- IB Higher Level English or AP English at 4 or more (nursing and social work)
The page says these are not accepted
- Provisional test results, or results more than two years old
“Not on the list” means the test does not appear on the university page we checked. It does not mean the test is refused: the course page or the admissions office may still accept it, so ask them.
