Brunel University of London: English test requirements
Brunel sets English scores on each course page, not in a group scheme: its general page says courses ask for between IELTS 6.0 and 7.0 with higher sub-scores on some courses. Course pages give IELTS, Pearson PTE, Brunel's own BrunELT and TOEFL; Duolingo is not mentioned.
Checked on 31 Oct 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.
Applicants from India
The India page accepts Standard XII English from CBSE, ICSE, Maharashtra and West Bengal boards as evidence, with a percentage mapped to an IELTS level; other boards must enquire. The page says: “Please enquire for other boards”
Applicants from Nigeria
The Nigeria page lists WAEC, NECO and SSSCE/WASSCE results as evidence of English. The page says: “WAEC and NECO: C6 or above”
