City St George’s University of London: English test requirements
For 2027/28 entry City St George's puts every course into English language Band 1, 2, 3 or 4 (IELTS 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 or 7.5 overall) and the course page names the band. The same bands cover the Clerkenwell and Tooting campuses; Bar Vocational Studies and Speech and Language Therapy have their own separate requirements. Duolingo is not listed.
Checked on 31 Oct 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.
Applicants from India
Indian Class XII English is accepted from CBSE and ISC boards (70 to 80 percent depending on the band). For Tooting campus courses a separate state-board route excludes six states. The page says: “This excludes Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Punjab and Uttarakhand.”

Check the entry requirements section of the course page for the band. Tests must be taken no more than two years before the CAS is generated; qualifications no more than five years. The bands apply to both Clerkenwell and Tooting unless the course has separate requirements. BSc Speech and Language Therapy has its own requirement outside the bands.
