Glasgow sets English requirements programme by programme: the general page only says a minimum is set and sends you to your course page. Several course pages are shown as examples. Two of the three undergraduate examples use IELTS 6.5 with no subtest below 6.0, Medicine asks 7.0 in every subtest, and some master's courses (Computing Science, Law) set Writing separately.
Checked on 31 Oct 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.

Each degree page carries its own English table. English Language and Linguistics is shown as an example. Tests must be taken within 2 years 5 months of the programme start date, and one test must meet the overall and every subtest score. TOEFL MyBest and Home Edition are accepted on this page.

Each master's page has its own table, and the two examples differ: MSc Data Analytics asks for IELTS 6.5 with no subtest under 6.0, while MSc Computing Science sets Writing separately. Tests must be taken within 2 years 5 months of the start date and use a single test. Online PTE Academic is not accepted.
