Bentley University: English test requirements

Bentley publishes preferred overall scores with required section minimums for undergraduate applicants, and a separate, higher set of graduate scores in its graduate admission FAQ. Undergraduates cannot use PTE, while graduate applicants can; English test results must be no more than two years old at undergraduate level.

Checked on 2 Nov 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.

The overall scores are described as preferred, while the section minimums are required. Tests must have been taken within the last two years; self-reported scores are not accepted and results are not super-scored. The requirement can be waived with SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing of 650+, ACT reading and English of 29+, four or more years of schooling in the U.S., or English courses in the IB, AP or A-Level curricula. Transfer applicants see the same table and may ask for a case-by-case waiver.
