Sheffield Hallam University: English test requirements
Sheffield Hallam publishes one table for degree level and above, in three steps (IELTS 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0), and each course page says which step applies. Course pages can add their own per-skill rules, so read the course page as well as the table.

Undergraduate (degree level)
The university uses one table for degree level and above. Your course page gives an IELTS score; the table shows the equivalent in other tests. Some course pages set different per-skill minimums from the table (for example LLB Law asks for 6.5 in reading and writing), so the course page decides. Courses at level 5 and below need a UKVI-approved Secure English Language Test. The page names no courses for each step; the examples below come from course pages.

- LanguageCert International ESOL SELT B2 (High Pass or 33 in each skill) for the 6.0 and 6.5 steps; C1 (33 in each skill) for the 7.0 step
