Teesside University: English test requirements
Teesside lists a minimum IELTS and PTE score by subject group for undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees, plus a separate table for its London campus. TOEFL is given only as section minimums (no overall score), and Duolingo is not mentioned. The university also runs its own English test (TELT) for some applicants.
Checked on 31 Oct 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.
Applicants from India
The university's own English test (TELT) reading and writing part is not offered in India, so Indian applicants need another four-band test such as IELTS. The page says: “If you are based in India, this service isn't currently provided”
Applicants from Pakistan and Nigeria
The university's regional offices in Nigeria and Pakistan run the reading and writing part of its own English test (TELT). The page says: “Currently, the regional offices running these tests are: Nigeria, Pakistan and Malaysia.”
