University of Strathclyde: English test requirements
Strathclyde states a standard IELTS 6.5 requirement (no component below 5.5), lowers it to 6.0 for the Faculty of Science and for undergraduate Engineering, and lets some courses ask for 6.5 with 6.0 in each component; the course page says which. A separate page gives the matching score for every other accepted test, including Duolingo and TOEFL on both scales.
Checked on 31 Oct 2026 against the university's own pages. Universities change their requirements, and some courses ask for more. Always confirm on the university's page before you book a test or apply.
